Paris, France – In an exciting collaboration, the iliad Group, the CMA CGM Group, and Schmidt Futures have come together to establish Kyutai, a non-profit laboratory dedicated to advancing research in artificial intelligence (AI). With a shared commitment to this project, each founder has contributed $110 million to fund the research laboratory.
Kyutai aims to address the main challenges of modern AI by focusing on developing large multimodal models and inventing innovative algorithms to enhance their capacities, reliability, and efficiency. The laboratory has already assembled a team of exceptional researchers with diverse academic and business backgrounds.
