Revolucionarni helikopter Indženuiti završava svoju svemirsku misiju na Marsu

In a groundbreaking announcement, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has declared that Indenuity, the revolutionary small helicopter, has completed its final flight on Mars. Unfortunately, due to a damaged rotor blade, further flying is no longer possible.

Indenuity arrived on Mars in February 2021, alongside the Perseverance rover, with a plan to conduct five short experimental flights. However, over the past year, this small helicopter has executed a staggering 72 flights, surpassing all expectations set by NASA experts. Its surveillance and exploration missions expanded to cover a Mars surface area 14 times larger than initially anticipated.

The last flight of Indenuity occurred on January 18th when it made an emergency landing on the Martian surface, and contact with the helicopter was lost. However, contact was reestablished the following day, and through the analysis of photographs capturing its shadow on the Martian soil, serious physical damage was discovered.

Lori Glaze, one of NASA’s directors, expressed regret over the end of this space mission. “While we expected the helicopter to eventually cease operations, it is difficult for us to accept the conclusion of this mission,” she stated. Glaze emphasized that Indenuity exceeded all expectations and that its years of work were exceptionally successful.

Indenuity has made significant strides in the field of flight technology on another planet. This mission has opened doors for future space exploration and lays the foundation for the development of new vehicles that will venture into uncharted territories. Although its space adventure has come to an end, its legacy will endure and inspire new generations of scientists and engineers.
