Progress, a renowned provider of development applications and infrastructure software, has announced the latest version of its network anomaly detection system, Progress Flowmon ADS, with significant updates. Flowmon ADS 12.2 leverages the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to provide an advanced, comprehensive view of detected security events. These enhancements empower cybersecurity experts to identify significant events, prioritize them within their context, facilitate effective decision-making, and respond quickly.

Moreover, Flowmon ADS acts as a constant AI-powered cybersecurity analyst, highlighting only the most important events and insights. The latest enhancements within Flowmon ADS include the visualization and analysis of Intrusion Detection System (IDS) events. It displays signature-based events in a unified user interface, alongside behavior-based events, including additional details, event evidence, dashboards, and reports. The analysis page in Flowmon ADS now prioritizes insights based on severity level and features expanded network intelligence that helps users connect IP addresses to SaaS applications and platforms. Additionally, functionality for detecting specific application usage has been introduced, making it easier to identify unauthorized SaaS applications and potentially hazardous applications, such as unauthorized VPN software.
