In a move to enhance security at the Michigan Capitol, a state-of-the-art artificial intelligence technology has been introduced to detect the presence of firearms. The innovative system, known as ZeroEyes, analyzes video footage from existing security cameras and provides an additional layer of protection for the state Capitol. The technology works by swiftly alerting the central control center if a weapon is brandished in front of any of the cameras.
“This technology serves as an invaluable asset in our efforts to safeguard the Capitol. With ZeroEyes, we are alerted in real-time to any potential threats, enabling us to take immediate action,” stated Sam Alaimo, co-founder of ZeroEyes.
Once the alert is received at the control center, trained personnel review the marked footage as flagged by the software and issue appropriate warnings. “Subsequently, we notify the client and any designated individuals so that on-site alerts can be promptly delivered,” added Alaimo.
