Microsoft dodaje podršku za najnoviji USB standard u Windows operativni sistem

Microsoft has announced that it is working on adding support for the latest USB4 standard in its Windows operating system. The new Windows 11 build 23615 brings support for USB4 Gen 4, enabling data transfer speeds of up to 80Gbps on compatible hardware.

The USB4 standard was released by the USB Implementers Forum back in 2019, and now Microsoft has included official support for this standard in the Windows 11 version 21H2. It is expected that USB4 will soon be present in the first consumer products.

It is important to note that users will require compatible hardware in order to take full advantage of the USB4 standard. The latest and best hardware will be necessary to achieve maximum data transfer speeds of 80Gbps.

Instead of quoting Microsoft, it can be described that Microsoft has emphasized that selected devices with Intel’s recently released 14th Gen mobile processors will be among the first to support the USB4 standard. For example, the new Razer Blade 18 will be one of the Windows laptops with USB4 2.0 support.

In addition to adding support for the USB4 standard, Windows 11 build 23615 also introduces a new feature called Copilot. This feature allows for easier setup of multiple monitors with a size of 27 inches or larger and a minimum resolution of 1920 pixels.
