Acer recently held an event in Dubai where it shared its vision for “Conscious Technology” in the fight against climate change. As part of its commitment to environmental preservation, Acer has expanded its eco-product line, including the Aspire Vero laptops and new energy storage solutions.
One of the company’s key initiatives is joining the RE100 initiative and committing to achieving 100% renewable electricity by 2035. Additionally, Acer has pledged to achieve zero emissions of harmful gases by 2050.
The company applies international standards to calculate carbon dioxide and other harmful gas emissions, taking measures to reduce these emissions throughout the lifecycle of its devices. The Aspire Vero laptops are designed with the goal of minimizing carbon dioxide emissions during their use and overall lifecycle. Acer also focuses on packaging, recycling, and device repairs, all aimed at contributing to the fight against climate change.
The latest Aspire Vero 16 laptops have many sustainability features. For example, the laptop chassis is made from a blend of over 60% recycled plastic, and the surface does not contain volatile organic compounds. The laptop also utilizes plastic that is classified as waste that could otherwise end up in the ocean.
In addition to expanding its eco-product line, Acer has introduced new energy solutions, including portable power banks with foldable solar panels. These power banks enable energy storage and additional green energy production on the go.
We look forward to next year when details about the Acer Aspire Vero 16 laptops will be unveiled in Las Vegas. Specifications, prices, and availability may vary by region, but you can find more information through local Acer offices.
